A challenge!

by Kenneth on Nov.12, 2008, under Sidetracks

I like to take great pride in the fact that I present quite a challenge to my professors. It is not due to me being a brain and the professors facing large obstacles in order to present me with material that will force me to extend myself. It is because I have a rather thick skull and I make them work at getting stuff pounded through.

There have been times when you could just see their blood pressure rising and the only thing I had done was to start walking towards them. Their eyes got beady, they developed stressed looks, their faces were red, their hearts were pounding… all in trying to figure out how fast they could run before I started asking a question. I suspect that some of them even have prearranged signals setup so all they have to do is reach in to their pocket and speed dial someone on the cell phone. That person would then call back immediately and presto, the professor would really need to take the call in private.

When I was young, I had a brain like a sponge. I soaked up everything, even that which I was not supposed to. Over the years I have experienced a hardening, or maybe a coating, of my brain cells. I now have a teflon brain. No matter how hard an instructor tries to throw something at me, it goes careening off, never to be known by me. It is a fact that the harder they try to learn me, the faster I forget what I was learned. Just ask any English teacher in my life!

Ok, so enough with the time wasting, I better get back to my assignment so the poor professor doesn’t have to find creative ways to now fail me.
